Timac Agro Canada is excited to share their demonstration research at Discovery Farm Woodstock through this five-acre project. Timac Agro seeks to demonstrate the benefits of their innovative products Excelis Maxx, Top-Phos, Fertiactyl and Fertileader and understand:
Timac Agro technologies improve nutrient use efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus through rooting and foliar biostimulants to secure plant establishment and maintain the plant’s biological activity during periods of stress. When increased nutrient use efficiency results in more resilient plants that can withstand more extreme abiotic stressors, this supports better profitability and sustainability for Canadian farmers.
This year’s Discovery Farm project has the following protocols:
Nutrient use efficiency (NUE) of phosphate in corn & soybeans:
NEU of nitrogen:
Biostimulant trial:
In previous research across Ontario with average yields and a four-year grower demonstration and third-party R&D, these results were observed:
+ 8.5 bu/ac increase in corn map with Top-Phos
+ 3 bu/ac increase in soybeans when substituting map with Top-Phos
+ 8 bu/ac increase in corn yield when using Excelis Maxx treated nitogen
+ 6.2 bu/ac increase in corn yield when using Fertiactyl
+ 3.8 bu/ac increase in soybean yield when using Fertiactyl
At the conclusion of this one-year project at Discovery Farm Woodstock, Timac Agro will share their findings with Ontario growers.
