WOODSTOCK, ONT. AND LANGHAM, SASK. – As Discovery Farm continues the facilitation of demonstration research in both Western and Eastern Canada, a new national partner has stepped on board to trial a new in-season biostimulant product.
Austrian-based company Hechenbichler has joined the Discovery Farm Field of Excellence project at the Discovery Farm Langham and Woodstock sites. Field of Excellence is a collaborative demonstration research project that attracts industry partners from diverse points across the entire production supply chain, bringing their insights, learnings and objectives together into a single cohesive project focused on informing and engaging with Canadian farmers. Hechenbichler’s Technical Lead for Canada, Dr. Logan Skori, says the product being trialled is AMALGEROL ESSENCE, which helps promote root growth and neutralize harmful molecules in plants that are produced following exposure to environmental stress induced by drought, heat or frost.
“Our partnership with Discovery Farm is a big opportunity for us. It’s our first-ever Canadian partnership and will set us up to break ground in the Canadian market,” he says. “We anticipate great things to come as we work together with the Discovery Farm team in our efforts to introduce AMALGEROL ESSENCE to Canadian farmers.”
Discovery Farm is a place where farmers gather to learn about new farm management practices through events and demonstration research projects. Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, September 13, 14 and 15 is one of the events hosted at Discovery Farm, and Hechenbichler will be showcasing their products in exhibit booth N-352.
“Discovery Farm welcomes Hechenbichler to the Field of Excellence project and to our growing community of ag industry partners who strive to find practical solutions for Canadian farmers,” says Glacier FarmMedia Executive Vice-President Carla Vipond. “We are excited to facilitate the trials of this new-to-Canada product and we look forward to working with Hechenbichler.”
This partnership is Hechenbichler’s first in Canada as they look to emerge into the Canadian market.
