GroWest is a 100% independent agronomy business in Saskatchewan with a “boots on the ground” business model. After Shannon Winny saw there was a need for independent agronomy services in the Rosetown area, she founded GroWest in January 2020. Today GroWest serves a number of different companies to complete third party replicated research trials (a total of 528 acres in 2021), and offers a wide spectrum of agronomy services to farmers in northeast and west central Saskatchewan.
In late 2020, GroWest became a dealer for METOS Canada with a goal of providing customers with premium infield technology, everything from weather stations, to moisture probes, to disease models. Winny and her team look forward to providing agronomically sound advice for many of our Discovery Farm partners while keeping in mind what is practical and economical for the farmer.
