Discovery Farm Woodstock

Discovery Farm Woodstock is a 330-acre demonstration farm and events facility located in southwestern Ontario and is the Home of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, Eastern Canada’s largest outdoor farm show. Discovery Farm is the place where key players in the industry gather to collaborate on research, demonstration and learning initiatives that leverage the strength of Ontario agriculture.

Discovery Farm Woodstock is part of the Pan-Canadian Smart Farm Network, a national network of smart farms across four provinces working collaboratively towards advancing AgTech solutions and sustainability across Canada. Discovery Farm Woodstock is the first Eastern Canada location for the network, bringing production practices and soil types more common in Eastern Canada into network research activities, as well as specific expertise in soybeans and corn. 

As part of the Pan-Canadian Smart Farm Network — led by Olds College — Discovery Farm Woodstock contributes to smart farms learning to support Canada’s agriculture sector efficiency, sustainability, and resilience in response to emerging opportunities and challenges in the industry. Like other activities across our farm, the network fosters collaboration among researchers, producers, industry partners, and other stakeholders nationwide to drive innovative projects that address critical issues in AgTech development and adoption. 

Discovery Farm works with partners to facilitate learning that matters to Canadian farmers and uncover solutions to the unique challenges facing Canadian farmers. Industry partners test practical applications, farming methods, technologies and products in a real-world setting. Knowledge from these projects is shared with farm audiences to help inform future advancements for agriculture.
